Whiskey Tradition is BornWhere MadMen Like To Drink Their Whiskey In NYC
Maker’s Mark is one those traditional whiskeys that has become a mainstay in many of Middle America liquor cabinets. And, although they have a strong share of the bourbon industry Maker’s Mark realizes the importance of branching out to new markets. This is notably seen in their presence of mind to sponsor local DJ events through out Brooklyn, New York in Williamsburg. Most likely the ‘hipster’ locals in Williamsburg are not their target demographic, but by providing free Maker’s Mark milkshakes they have found a way to seed brand awareness using a unique and delicious concept. If you’re up for trying I found this recipe below.
Ingredients:
6 ice cubes
2.5 cups premium vanilla ice cream
2 cups milk (whole preferred of course)
1/4 cup of Maker’s Mark
Preparation:
Put all ingredients into a blender and blend for about
20 seconds-to break up ice cubes and make a thick, smooth shake.
Pour into glass. Makes 3-6 oz. servings.
